Can I Decide What Part Of My Release A Listener Hears During A Preview?

You can choose the exact starting point—on 30-second boundaries—for preview clips that users hear on platforms like TikTok, Apple Music, and iTunes, for tracks over 1 minute and 16 seconds.

To do so, choose the second option on the "Preview Clip Start Time," of the submission form:

From there you will be shown a slider that lets you choose which 30 second section of the track you want to use for the preview.

For instance, on a 3-minute song, you can place the preview start at 20 seconds like the example below:

Not all platforms play the full-minute clip, so preview lengths may differ.

If your track is already live, click “Edit Release” on your album page, adjust the preview start time, and submit the update.
