Troubleshooting the 'Zero Bytes' Upload Error on eMastered

If you encounter the error "The file you uploaded is zero bytes" during your upload, it means eMastered can't process your audio because the file is unreadable.

This commonly happens when uploading from mobile devices or cloud platforms rather than from files saved locally. To resolve it, cancel the upload and re-submit with a proper file.

If you're using an iOS device, be sure to upload using the iOS file browser.

From the eMastered distribution dashboard, go to "New Release" to begin. When prompted for your album artwork, choose "Select an image" and then tap "Choose File" to access your iOS file system—not your photo library.

Similarly, in the audio upload section, choose your audio file through the file browser. Make sure your files are saved locally on the device, as iCloud files aren't compatible with eMastered’s upload process.
