If your submitted lyrics aren’t appearing on streaming platforms, don’t worry—they’re sent out immediately once you upload them to eMastered, but it might take up to two weeks for them to appear.
If it's been more than two weeks and they're still missing, there may be formatting issues causing the delay. Double-check your lyrics and resubmit them if needed.
Formatting Tips to Avoid Delays:
Keep line length short: Lines should generally be no longer than 5–6 words.
Insert line breaks: Even if your song doesn't have clear verse or chorus sections, it's important to break your lyrics into smaller stanzas. Most platforms reject lyrics with more than 10 continuous lines.
Watch your spacing: Too many or too few spaces can lead to rejection.
Avoid punctuation: Remove punctuation from the end of lines—including parentheses—to improve approval chances.
Capitalization: Only capitalize the first word of a line or proper nouns.
Standard spelling: Avoid slang or non-standard words (e.g., write “running” instead of “runnin’”).
Write out numbers: Use words like “one hundred” instead of numerals like “100.” Proper formatting increases the chance your lyrics will show up correctly on streaming services.
