Why Your Music May Sound Different on Streaming Platforms

If your music doesn’t sound the same on streaming platforms like Spotify as it did when you uploaded it to eMastered, the difference is likely due to audio compression.

Many streaming services compress audio files to reduce their size and improve download speed, which can alter the sound quality.

Thankfully, as more platforms adopt lossless (uncompressed) audio formats, this issue is expected to improve.

In the meantime, listeners can usually enhance audio playback by adjusting settings in the app.

For example, Spotify Premium users can go into the app’s Preferences and enable "High Quality Streaming" for better sound.
