Spotify’s Warning About Risky Promotion Services and Artificial Streaming

Spotify is cautioning artists about misleading advertisements promoting unauthorized music promotion services.

Be wary of companies that claim they can guarantee playlist spots or a set number of streams for a fee.

These services often rely on fraudulent tactics that could jeopardize your music career—leading to withheld royalties, deleted streams, or even permanent removal of your songs from streaming platforms.

Streaming services are committed to ensuring all streams represent real listener engagement. If it's discovered that you or someone you've hired has used bots, click farms, or paid playlist placements to inflate plays, your entire catalog could be taken down.

If you’re considering a promotion service, thoroughly investigate its legitimacy before proceeding.
