Tax Rules for Non-U.S. Artists on Withheld Earnings

If you live outside the United States, up to 30% of your earnings may be withheld for tax purposes. 

However, if your country has a tax treaty with the U.S. and you meet the requirements, this withholding may be lowered or waived. 

Depending on your country’s tax laws, you might be able to use the withheld U.S. taxes as a credit on your own taxes. You can view the specific withholding rates by country in the “Copyrights” column at this page:
