At this time, AI-generated audio is not supported for distribution.
Because of our distribution partner agreements, we cannot distribute any tracks where AI generated any part of the music or vocals.
What is allowed?
You can still use AI in limited ways, as long as it does not generate the actual audio:
- AI mastering (eMastered AI Mastering is allowed)
- AI-powered tools that process audio you created (e.g., mixing assistants, noise reduction, pitch correction, stem separation, restoration)
- AI used for non-audio tasks (e.g., writing lyrics, brainstorming, artwork), as long as the final audio itself is human-created
What is NOT allowed?
We cannot distribute any content where AI is involved in creating the actual sound recording:
- Any service that generates music or vocals (text-to-music / prompt-to-song tools)
- AI voice generation or voice cloning
- Any track where the underlying audio (in whole or in part) was created by AI
This applies regardless of whether the AI tool claims to use licensed training data.
Important Notes
- If any portion of the audio is AI-generated, the release must be marked as AI-generated and cannot be distributed
- AI-assisted workflows are only acceptable when the final audio recording is created by humans
- These rules apply across all DSPs and monetization services
Summary
- ✅ AI-assisted = OK (no AI-generated audio)
- ❌ AI-generated audio = Not allowed for distribution
